This simple breath prayer invites you to start the day in stillness.
Drawn from Psalm 131, it helps center the body, settle the soul, and awaken your awareness of God's gentle, sustaining presence. No striving. No fixing. Just returning.

Practice Instructions

1. Find your seat.
Sit comfortably, feet on the floor, hands resting gently in your lap.

2. Ground your body.
Feel the floor beneath you. Notice the length of your spine.

Let your shoulders soften. Let your breath slow.

3. Begin the breath prayer.

  • Inhale: “I am held…”

  • Exhale: “…in Your presence.”

Repeat for 2–3 minutes, letting the rhythm carry you.

4. Close in stillness.
Let the breath settle.
Let the body rest.
Let God hover.
