Meet Kimi

a companion on the journey back to the garden within

EMBERS-00083.jpg

My story began...

like so many, in places of disconnection, moments when I felt cut off from my body and unsure of God’s love for me. Through prayer, Scripture, and embodied practices, God gently drew me back into the truth: that Christ came to dwell fully in a body, and that our own bodies are sacred spaces where the Spirit longs to meet us.

In 2018, after a season of stress and illness, I returned to embodied prayer as a way of healing. What began as a personal practice became a doorway into deep encounter with God. Since then, I’ve devoted myself to weaving together the wisdom of Ignatian spirituality, the Genesis creation story, and embodied prayer to helping others notice God’s presence in breath, movement, and desire.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me. -John 15:4

I hold space for individuals through Soul-Tending spiritual direction, guide communities in retreats and workshops, and offer programs that root prayer in the whole self. Again and again, I’ve witnessed the quiet miracle: when a person softens into their body, the heart opens, the mind settles, and God’s voice becomes clear.

My formation has been shaped by graduate studies in theology and spirituality, training in Ignatian discernment, and ongoing study in both Western and Eastern wisdom traditions. This academic foundation supports my lived call to companion others in prayer and healing.

It is my deepest joy to walk with you in this way, to remind you that you are uniquely created, the fingerprint of God’s love in the world, and that within you is a garden where Love is always waiting.

Formation & Background

Degrees & Certifications

My formation has been shaped by both academic study and lived experience. I completed my Certification in Spiritual Direction (CSD) and Master of Theological Studies (MTS) at Spring Hill College, with a focus on Ignatian spirituality. My graduate project for the CSD integrated Eastern and Western wisdom into a Christian-based program around Genesis, forming what I now call Your Creation Theory. Alongside this foundation, I have received certifications in Yoga Nidra, Yin, Hatha, Kundalini, and Ayurveda-based yoga, each offering a different doorway into embodied prayer.

Continuing Formation

I am currently completing certification in Embodied Yoga Life Coaching, a trauma-informed approach to movement and healing, while also deepening my Ignatian roots through intensive study of the 19th Annotation of the Spiritual Exercises. My ongoing continuing formation includes courses in spiritual direction, discernment, trauma response, and the Enneagram, each of which expands the ways I companion others in prayer.

Mentors & Guides

I have been blessed with mentors who have shaped me in profound ways, especially within the Jesuit community at Ignatius House. Jesuits and spiritual leaders such as Fr. Jim Fleming, Fr. Bill Noe, Fr. Jim Storms, Maria Cressler, Sarah Otto, Penny Simmons, Kathy Hoffman, Sr. Susan Arcaro, Sr. Barbara Young, and Sr. Margaret McAnoy have each offered gifts of wisdom and presence that continue to form my ministry. Their guidance has grounded me in Ignatian spirituality as a living tradition of prayer and discernment.
