What happens when something you believed God was inviting you toward doesn't turn out as you hoped? Recognizing God's voice isn't always about finding an easy answer. Through a personal experience of disappointment and difficult consolation, we explore how fear and trust, sorrow and peace, can coexist as we learn to discern God's gentle presence in the decisions of our lives.

What do we do when fear, urgency, shame, pressure, or self-doubt begins narrowing the room within us? Spiritual freedom does not mean everything feels easy. These five practical tools can help us create enough space to listen, discern, and remain in relationship with God.

We are learning to recognize the familiar ways God draws near. But what gets in the way of receiving that grace? This reflection explores shame, guilt, fear, woundedness, and the false spirit through a simple discernment question: Am I looking into a mirror that keeps turning me toward myself, or through a window that draws me toward relationship and freedom?
