What happens when something you believed God was inviting you toward doesn't turn out as you hoped? Recognizing God's voice isn't always about finding an easy answer. Through a personal experience of disappointment and difficult consolation, we explore how fear and trust, sorrow and peace, can coexist as we learn to discern God's gentle presence in the decisions of our lives.

Why spend so much time exploring our own emotions, wounds, and patterns of grace? Because the more honestly we encounter ourselves, the more room we can make for another. Through a simple illustration of three ways we respond to suffering, we explore what it means to listen with and for others while remaining rooted in Christ.

What if anxiety isn't something we have to silence before we can hear God? Emotional awareness and discernment invite us to notice what is moving within us, listen to what it may be telling us, and keep God in the conversation.
